Virtual EventJoin the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for a live virtual event on April 4 at 10:30 a.m. ET. The press conference will focus on coordinated federal and state high-visibility enforcement efforts to combat texting and other forms of distracted driving.
NHTSA Deputy Administrator Dr. Steven Cliff will be joined by:
- U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN),
- Robyn Robertson, National Distracted Driving Coalition
- Jennifer Weaver, distracted-driving impact speaker, and
- Colonel Richard S. Fambro, Ohio State Highway Patrol.
NHTSA’s U Drive. U Text. U Pay. paid media campaign, which coincides with National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, will begin on April 4 and run through April 11, 2022. The national enforcement mobilization period will begin on April 7.
