Dear Mr. Eckhold:#This is in response to your February 3, 1976, lette pointing out an error in the publication of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 101, *Control Location, Identification, and Illumination*, in Supplement 109 to the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and Regulations.#While the Federal Register is, of course, the official source of the law, we share your concern for the accuracy of the supplements. The error in Table 1 of Standard No. 101 was discovered immediately upon its publication and steps were taken to correct it.
